Another tough match tonight, but the girls played hard.  Video is currently being uploaded and will be available in the morning.  To view any of the matches click on the “Schedule of Events” link and then it will show the game date(s) along with which matches have video available.

We now have a bunch of shirts available as part of a fundraising effort for the Hug Volleyball Program.  All of the items can be found at:

One thing to make note of is that there are two campaigns.  Each of the campaigns have six different shirt material/colors (12 total).  Some are short sleeve, some long, some sweater/hoodies, etc.  Prices vary depending on the type of material, but each of them have the team motto for this year – “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work.”

Please pass this along to anyone that might be interested in some good looking duds or to anyone that might want to simply make a flat donation.  Be sure to act fast as the fundraiser is only available through 9/18.  If the minimum orders are not met (15 items on each campaign) then they will not print and the credit card will not be charged.  Once the campaign ends, shirts will print and ship around 10-12 business days later and can be picked up at the school.

Tuesday we squared off against the powerful team from Bishop Manogue (results & video posted).  Our girls played incredibly well in the back court and showed lots of promise for the future.  There were few errors defensively and as we really work on offense the next few weeks at practice I believe we’ll see great things shaping up.  Good job girls, we’re all very proud.

This Thursday we face Galena (away) and it will be another hard fought match.  Come out to cheer the girls on!  Freshman games start at 3:30 with JV and Varsity following.

We had our first tournament of 2016 and saw a much improved team from 2015 take our first set.  While the wins didn’t outnumber the losses, we did “kick butt” and both players and coaches learned a lot.  We start the upcoming week with our first true season game against Spanish Springs
